Early Brain Nurturing in Children - Working Beyond Standard Parental Techniques

By Andrew Loh

Every early brain development research carried out in the past, buttresses one important point: From child's birth and towards childhood, all children become ready and excited to learn and grow! Therefore, parents should understand the immediate need to introduce productive brain nurturing aids to stimulate learning and growth. Before using any of these aids, parents may also need to understand how you can establish an emotional relationship with children. Here are some useful tips:

  • Observe for emotional signs of infants and toddlers and start recognizing the patterns for identifying signs of development.

  • Note down any behaviors or actions that might indicate early brain development.

  • Child emotions are very critical to kick start brain development among young children.

  • Learn how to respond to these emotional cues and accept them as challenges. All toddlers can express their minds only through strong emotions.

Feeding, holding, showering affection, catering to infant's emotional demands are all parts of daily care and baby management. Almost all mothers and fathers do this in fact and as an essential duty. However, these are not enough to boost brain development. Many activities would boost quicker brain development in children. All of them deal with developing children's five senses. For a toddler and young growing child, playing is the most important activity for throughput the day especially when it is not sleeping. It learns by playing with different things and play sets. It can even learn by holding the mother's fingers. As it plays by using its fingers, hands, and feet, it starts to learn various skills and building knowledge pool. Here are some the early learning and brain boosting aids to boost quicker brain development in children:

Note: These tips are suggested for children below one year.

Some of the most important brain boosting aids and tools are the intuitive play sets and toys. Every intelligent play set has its own method of developing a child's intellect. Intelligent toys and play sets could easily boost quick brain development in young children:

The main goals of using toys and play sets are numerous and some of them are:

  • Enhance vision and the ability to absorb information through vision and sight.

  • Enhance audition and the ability to collect information and process it though auditory nerves.

  • Enhance tactile, feeling and touch and the ability to develop better muscular control, mind to muscle coordination and superior cognition.

  • Develop a strong physique by playing with toys to improve muscular structure and coordination.

Beginning child's primary brain development

A mobile baby toy hung over the top of the crib will enhance baby's vision and sight. The movements and bright colors would help baby to concentrate on the toy and improve concentration and attention span. In addition, improvements in sight and vision would catalyze auditory nerve cells too.

Improving child's ability to differentiate different types of sounds

Obviously, this is perhaps the most important activities for your child because, when it makes out the differences between different sound sources, it can fine-tune its auditory abilities apart from streamlining the capability to enhance the triad of skills - interlinking hearing, seeing and speaking abilities.

Improve cause and effect relationship

Cause and effect relationship is an important skill for optimal brain development. Some toys that contain capability switches teach the relationship between cause and effect. These toys allow children to learn how to control cause to get the desired effects. The main benefit of using this relationship is to exercise control to get the desired effect. You can buy many colored and tune-humming activity centers to teach cause and effect.

Fine motor skills are necessary skills

Very fine motor skills occur when children learn ways to make small muscle movements through their fingers and hands vis-à-vis the power of eyes. Toys that allow holding, grasping and reaching are very beneficial in improving fine motor skills.

By nature, children are receptive to learning new ideas and gaining knowledge by using different skills. Social skills are perhaps the most important skills for a growing child. These skills empower your children with an ability to live with a competitive world and face any crisis in future life. Expose your children different people and different surroundings. Make sure to provide new opportunities for your children to boost their brain activities.

Do not hold your child continuously for a long time. Allow your child to play on the ground. Let him or her explore the world by using the freedom given by you. One of the best early brain boosters is to allow your child to experience both success and failure while performing a certain task or work. Young children are known to fail many times before succeeding in completing a task. This is how they fine tune their brain activities and start streamlining billions of nerve connections.
